In a thrilling culmination to the 2025 Indian Premier League, the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) clinched their maiden IPL title, defeating the Punjab Kings (PBKS) by a narrow margin of six runs in the final match held at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on June 3, 2025.














RCB Innings: RCB posted a total of 190/9 in their 20 overs. batsman Virat Kohli contributed 43 runs off 35 balls, while Krunal Pandya played a pivotal role with the ball. The Punjab Kings' bowlers managed to restrict RCB batsman to a modest total, with notable performances from Harpreet Brar and Sam Curran.  

PBKS  Chased: In response, PBKS could only manage 184/7 in their 20 overs. Despite a strong start, including a quick-fire 50 from Rilee Rossouw, they fell short by 6 runs. RCB's disciplined bowling attack, leding by bowler Krunal Pandya, was instrumental in their victory time.












Krunal Pandya: Awarded the Player of the Match for his exceptional bowling performance, taking crucial wicket and maintaining the pressure of team throughout the innings in the final match of RCB.














Virat Kohli: Although not at his explosive best with the bating, Kohli's leadership and experience were vital in guiding RCB to their first IPL title in the history of RCB.

The win was a historic moment for RCB and its fans, marking the history  of years of near-misses. Kohli expressed immense joy, stating, "Tonight, I'll sleep like a baby," reflecting the relief and happiness of finally securing the coveted IPL trophy. 

This victory also ended an 18-year wait for RCB and was a significant milestone for captain Virat Kohli in joyfull happiness.

Mayank Agarwal's steady contribution further stabilized the innings  of the match.


In response, the Punjab Kings managed 184/7 in their allotted overs

Despite spirited efforts from players like Priyansh Arya, Prabhsimran Singh, and Josh Inglis, RCB's bowlers maintained control, especially in the final overs, to secure the victory of the match.
